loved to see
the way the sun falls and sway with the wind
into the things…
Should have, could have embraced the matters of the heart
seen the soul it brings…
heard the blackbird’s calls
Should have,
could have
come closer to the evening bend of light, and life itself
the way the sun falls
into the bay,
into the rain
and on down
to deeper things
