According to Michael Moore’s newest encyclical, there has been quite a scuffle over the release of his new film, “Fahrenheit 9/11″ and it goes beyond the disney thing. Theater owners have recieved death threats, or so they say… What’s this: TERRORISM in the name of anti-terrorism?! Michael Moore has been the victim of some terrrorism, er, freedom-fighting, himself.
“some very sophisticated individuals have been hacking into and shutting down our website. It is an hourly fight to keep it up. We are going to find out who is doing this and we are going to pursue a criminal prosecution. I’m preparing lots of cool stuff for the site so watch for new items on it next week. “
Personally, I have very mixed feelings about this kind of thing. On one hand, I’m a big fan of the french revolution, in principle and perhaps even in head-rolling action. What confuses me, on the ohter hand, is: what do I make of the headrolling when I don’t agree with the prnciples behind it?
