Hacktivism does generally get connected with art, since it's pretty well rooted in the historical hippie/drug culture of the bay area. It's amazing who knows whom, who did acid with whom, etc.. Case in point: Burning Man and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cacophony_Society" rel="nofollow">The Cacophony Society</a> and Chuck Palahniuk and the Church of the Subgenius.
