		<description>Note: San Fransisco is a melting pot where categories tend to dissolve in a searing whisp of steam. Hacktivism does generally get connected with art, since it's pretty well rooted in the historical hippie/drug culture of the bay area. It's amazing who knows whom, who did acid with whom, etc..

Case in point: Burning Man and &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cacophony_Society" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Cacophony Society&lt;/a&gt; and Chuck Palahniuk and the Church of the Subgenius. The tendrils of connectivity no doubt reach to The Well, the Long Now, etc etc....</description>
