Gawker Media’s guru Nick Denton has added to Gawker’s campaign to become an empire, with the addition of new blogs to its popular list.

Three new online titles this morning from Gawker Media: Jalopnik, a car site; Kotaku, for video games; and Screenhead, which covers what can only be described as ‘funny shit’.

The other sites are worth a visit as well.

Denton and company are responsible for: Gawker, which is about celebrities; gizmodo writes about gizmos and gadgets; defamer spreads rumors and water-cooler gossip around los angeles; Wonkette, and Fleshbot, all of which are widely read, and all of which actually manage to make a profit.

There was also a short lived thing about experimental film called Art of Speed, which was backed by Nike for some reason.
