To Win, Simply Play

I have just submitted the bound-and-paper version of my thesis to the library.

You, lucky reader, get to read it in the intended format, online and unbound. It is published online as version 1.1 of To Win, Simply Play.

I feel like it is a long way from finished, so your comments are more than welcome.

I never would think I am a believer in fate, but sometimes, when nothing ever works, it’s good to see when it does.

I am only half (I am guessing) way through this, and although I ache to go on, like a good whiskey, I do not want to waste it. So maybe I’ll be back for another comment.

This is interesting, because it is the way I write, or attempt to. I am 17 and currently at college, and I am experimenting all the time with myself and my writing. There’s not a lot of it, but I am trying to write a novel of my own. That too is going slowly, but I guess that way I can make it the best it can be.

I think the point I am getting to, if there must be a point, is that this hit a nerve with me. This tone, this feeling, the content, it seems like the contents of my head but out of someone else’s.

It goes like this: I found a site, and I forget how I did, but it was a site named Quarlo, you may remember. It is a site I have grown to love and has given me a path to other similar thoughts… and on there was a nice little sound file named ‘4trainpoet’, which intruiged me, and I searched on it, and it brought me here. So it’s not amazing, it’s not a coincidence. There is reason. I haven’t decided whether I am a believer in fate who is rarely amazed, or an unbeliever who is amazed.

I’m no believer in coincidence, but I don’t likely attribute the convenience of a gloabal and associative network to the hand of fate. The existance of these kinds of links is work, not fate.
